    "text": "أَنْتَ تَذْكُرُ أَنَّكَ دَعَوْتَنِي، وَأَنْتَ مُغَادِرٌ: \"بِالفَأْرِ قَارِضِ الوَرَقِ\"، فَأَثَرْتَ غَضَبِي، وَقَرَّرْتُ آنَذَاكَ، أَنْ أَهْجُرَ القِرْطَاسَ لِفَتْرَةٍ مِنَ الزَّمَنِ —أَوْ دَوْماً؟— وَأُلْقِيَ بِنَفْسِي فِي العَمَلِ. فَاسْتَأْجَرْتُ تَلاَّ صَغِيراً يَحْتَوِي عَلَى اللِّينِيتِ، وَتَعَاقَدْتُ مَعَ عُمَّالٍ، وَاشْتَرَيْتُ مَعَاوِلَ، وَأَرْفَاشاً، وَمَصَابِيحَ الأَسِتِيلِينِ، وَسِلالاً، وَعَرَبَاتٍ، وَحَفَرْتُ أَنْفَاقاً وَدَفَنْتُ نَفْسِي فِيهَا، هَكَذَا، كَيْ أُثِيرَ غَضَبَكَ. وَتَحَوَّلْتُ، بِسَبَبِ الحَفْرِ وَشَقِّ الدَّهَالِيزِ فِي الأَرْضِ، مِنْ فَأْرٍ قَارِضٍ لِلْوَرَقِ إِلى خُلْدٍ، فَأَرْجُو أَنْ تُسَرَّ لِهَذَا التَّحَوُّلِ",
